Capacity is configuration-specific. Ratings are for each door or panel as labeled—not for each wheel or hanger. Do not add two hanger ratings together. Soft-operation hardware can have a lower rating than standard rollers, even when the track looks the same.
Choose a hardware-only kit when you already have a suitable pocket frame or are building the pocket separately. These kits provide the rolling system and guides; they do not create the wall cavity.
Both listed kits accommodate 2 × 4 or 2 × 6 wall construction and common 1 3/8-inch or 1 3/4-inch doors. The pocket frame must still provide the correct clearance for your door.
Want cushioned travel? The Series 1 soft-close and soft-open pocket hardware kit supports up to 220 lb per door and requires a door at least 30 inches wide. Confirm the minimum door weight for the selected mechanism before ordering.

Single or double: A single pocket door disappears into one side. A conventional double pocket arrangement uses one pocket on each side, with doors meeting at the center. This is different from bypassing doors that overlap and travel into the same side.
Check the selected soft-operation kit. Standard Series 1 soft hardware is listed up to 220 lb, while the standard frame-kit soft-close/soft-open listing also specifies a 70 lb minimum. Premium soft configurations list 80–330 lb. Use the exact kit’s specifications; the “400 lb” Premium family name does not make a soft-operation kit a 400 lb system.
A customer-built wood valance can conceal the track. The valance is not included or sold by HBP.
Bypass doors move on parallel tracks so one door can pass in front of the other. They are useful when a swinging or folding door would project into a narrow room. Plan door overlap when sizing the opening.
Bottom guidance: The standard guide keeps the door bottoms aligned. An optional HBP bottom track with alignment rollers provides continuous guidance for compatible Series 1 and Series 2 bypass systems. It does not increase overhead hardware capacity.

The hinges connect the panels. Pivots locate the fixed side, while the rolling hanger follows the overhead track as the panels fold.
A 2-door kit includes one rolling hanger and one top/bottom pivot set. A 4-door kit includes two hangers and two pivot sets. This arrangement differs from a sliding door supported by two hangers.
Need more panels or all panels folding to one side? Review the Multi-Fold ordering instructions for the correct track, pivots, hinges and hangers. Do not assume a standard 4-door kit covers every folding layout.
View Multi-Fold Options125 lb per panel means each panel. A 150 lb panel exceeds the listed rating even when the other panel is lighter. Allow clearance for the folding motion and the stack of panels at the side.
A wheel rolls along the rail. A hanger is the wheel assembly that connects the door to the track. The track is the overhead rail that carries and directs the hanger. The complete assembly—not wheel count alone—determines suitability and capacity.
Four wheels form one rolling hanger. The Series 1 standard pocket and bypass configurations are rated up to 250 lb per door. The bi-fold configuration uses different supporting hardware and is rated 125 lb per panel.
Three wheels form one rolling hanger. HBP Series 2 pocket and bypass kits are rated up to 200 lb per door. Match these hangers to their specified Series 2 track.
The wheels run inside the track; the hanger connection extends through the bottom opening. The box profile helps keep the rollers engaged. Series 1 and Series 2 have their own matching track and hanger specifications.

The I-shaped rail uses matching Premium wheel assemblies. This is a different track-and-hanger system from the standard box track. Premium manual frame configurations support up to 400 lb per door; listed Premium soft configurations support up to 330 lb.

Buying track only or a hardware bag? Track-only listings do not include hangers. Hardware bags do not include track or a pocket frame. Identify your existing system before ordering replacement parts.

These are operating choices within compatible systems. Pocket, wall-mount, bypass and bi-fold describe how the doors move; soft close and soft open describe how travel finishes.
