Multi-Fold Hardware

This collection includes the track and hardware you need to install and operate multi-fold door systems.  Multi-fold systems use the same heavy duty parts as are used in our Series 1 Bifold Track and Hardware systems.

Multi-fold systems use bifold door hardware when you have either of the two situations:

  • when your doorway has more than 4 total panels in the doorway (in an even number of door panels)
  • when your doorway has all of the panels folding in one direction

The heavy-duty aluminum track is designed for smooth operation, and its box-style design prevents the rollers from jumping the track.

 

How to Order HBP's Series 1 Multifold Hardware Kits

To place a proper order for HBP's Series 1 Multi-Fold Hardware Kit:

Determine the length of track you will need for the job at hand.
Track lengths can be cut down to meet specific needs.  Measure the length of your doorway to see what Series 1 aluminum track length you need to purchase to fit your project needs for your doorway.

Determine the amount of Base Set A hardware kits you will need.

If you are looking for all doors to fold one way, you'll need only one Base Set A kit per opening. If you are looking for your doors to open in the middle, you will need two Base Set A kits per opening.

Base Set A kits contain all of the hardware pieces for the first set of doors that pivot and make the whole system fold in or out. You should never need more than two per opening.

Determine the amount of Addon Set B hardware kits you will need.

Addon Set B kits are for use to connect a pair of doors to your other doors along the length of your track.  The Addon Set B kits contain an additional roller and the hinges necessary to attach the extra pairs of folding doors to the pivoting doors.

For example, the image above displays the correct hardware you would need to order for each situation. To hang three pairs of doors all sliding to the left, you would need one Base Set A hardware kit, and two Add-on Set B hardware kits. To hang four pairs of doors, split in the middle, you would need two Base Set A hardware kits and two Add-on Set B hardware kits.
