  • Function: Choose passage or privacy. Both styles have an attached edge pull.

Which Option Fits Your Project?

  • Bathroom or bedroom needing a lock: Choose a privacy version of the HBP round, HBP heavy duty, or EMTEK heavy duty pull. Match its preparation to your door.
  • Closet, pantry, or laundry room without a lock: Choose a passage pull, or use separate flush pulls with an edge pull where needed.
  • Reusing a door with a round knob hole: Start with the HBP round pull / lock. Measure both bore diameter and backset; a matching diameter alone does not establish fit.
  • Replacing an existing rectangular pull: Remove the old hardware and compare the notch, door thickness, and screw locations with the new template.
  • Double pocket doors: Plan pulls for both leaves. If locking is needed, confirm how the selected lock and strike will meet at the center before ordering.

Sold each or as a pair? The original low-priced pulls are sold in sets of two. All solid brass pulls are sold individually. For solid brass face pulls on both sides of a door, order two; add a separate edge pull if needed.

Before You Order

  1. Choose passage or privacy. Flush pulls and the separate edge pull do not add a lock.
  2. Measure door thickness and existing preparation. Record hole diameter, backset, or notch dimensions as applicable.
  3. Check pocket clearance. Make sure the installed hardware clears the pocket entrance and can be reached when the door is open.
  4. Plan both door faces and the leading edge. Confirm package quantities and whether an edge pull is already part of your chosen hardware.
  5. Match the finish. Similar finish names can look different between product lines; review the product photographs.
  6. Use the installation template. Confirm the exact cutout, included fasteners, and any required strike preparation before cutting or routing.
