Single Pocket Door Frame Kit for 2 × 6 Walls with Soft Close & Soft Open

Make room for more usable space with a door that slides into the wall. This HBP pocket door frame kit combines steel studs, a solid wood header, and controlled opening and closing for your next home renovation or new build.

WARNING:  For the Soft Close & Soft Open*** Do not use on Doors under 70 lbs-  * Lower Weight Will Not Actuate the Soft Close or Soft Open

Smooth Movement in Both Directions

• Soft close: The door slides normally, then the mechanism gently pulls it closed against the jamb.
• Soft open: Helps prevent the door from slamming into the stud at the back of the wall pocket.
• Four-wheel ball-bearing hardware: Used in both mechanisms for smooth door travel.

• Wall framing: Standard 2 × 6 walls
• Available door heights: 80, 84, or 96 inches
• Door thickness options: 1 3/8 or 1 3/4 inches
• Door weight: 70 lbs minimum; 220 lbs maximum
• Frame: Galvanized steel studs with a solid wood header

Installation Details

The bottom guide mounts between the steel studs, behind the pocket door jambs, to stay hidden from view. Move the guide up or down for minor door-thickness adjustments. The soft-close and soft-open units are identical and face opposite directions in the track.
