This is an “ EXAMPLE ONLY” on how to Cut Down a 30” Header to a 28” Header
**Note: Make sure you look at the Measurement chart for your correct measurements on how to get your correct measurement on you Header
On the Header there are Three (3 ) pieces of Wood that are screwed together to make the header:
The Wood Piece that the track attaches to and the Two ( 2 ) Pieces that point downward which are called “SKIRTS”
1. Before taking everything apart, look at the end of the header that has the Two (2 ) Skirts and make a mark on the wood where the end of the Track stops so you can easily remember where to line up the track when you put it all back together
2.. Take out all the Screws and take off the track, and also take off the Two (2 ) Skirts so you can make all of your cuts easily
3. Measure the track that is currently 56 ¾ and Cut if Down to 52 ¾”
4. Measure the long wood piece that the track was attached to that is currently 60 13/16” and Cut it down * on the end that you didn’t mark to 56 13/16”
5. Measure each of theTwo (2 ) Skirts which are currently 30 7/8” and Cut these down to 28 7/8”.
6. You you can carefully put the Header back together, making sure to put the Two (2 ) Skirts back onto the Long wood piece on the end that HAD THE MARK for the end of the track
7. You can now attach the track back onto the header.
