HBP Pocket Door Frame Kits - New Studs
Hartford Building Products now has solid steel studs made from galvanized steel . These studs do not rust. In addition, these studs are designed so that 1 3/4” thick doors have more room available to fit in a 2 x 4 kit. No adapters are needed to fir these 1 3/4” thick doors.
The steel studs are available for 80” (6/8) , 84” (7/0), and 96” (8/0) heights. They can be cut to any height between these standard heights.. There are two openings cut at the top of each stud. These openings are for both mounting the kit to the subfloor, and also mounting to the finished floor height. The bottom opening is for the subfloor mounting of the kit, and the top opening is for mounting the kit to the finished floor height.
